A local Sterling man died after he was pulled out of Rappahannock River in Fredericksburg, VA. The victim has not yet been identified, nor has the cause of the accident. Fredericksburg Police spokeswoman, Natatia Bledsoe, said it was likely that the victim had drowned, but it is possible that he had a medical condition. The investigation will continue.
A caller reported the victim went underwater on Sunday and a bystander pulled the man from the river and attempted CPR. The man was taken to Mary Washington Hospital and was declared dead shortly thereafter.
