2011 Loudoun Green Business Challenge Kick Off is May 11

From Loudoun County -- The 2011 Loudoun County Green Business Challenge will be officially launched Wednesday, May 11, at 8:00 a.m. at George Washington University’s Virginia Science and Technology Campus, 20101 Academic Way in Ashburn.

The Green Business Challenge is a partnership between the Loudoun County Government and the Chamber of Commerce to encourage Loudoun businesses of all sizes to adopt environmentally sound business practices. The Green Business Challenge has identified a number of actions businesses and organizations can take to become more energy efficient, implement more sustainable practices, improve their bottom line, and help Loudoun County ensure a healthy and sustainable quality of life for all its citizens.

The kick-off event will feature winners of last year’s Green Business Challenge, who will share their best practices and innovative techniques that led them to the winner's circle. They will show what can be done within a large company or small business to increase energy efficiency.
