Loudoun County, VA:  An Alexandria man being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center has been charged after causing damage in his holding cell in an apparent attempt to escape.

 

LCSO Seeks Witnesses to Two Vehicle Crash in Area of Potomac Run Plaza

Loudoun County, VA:  The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is seeking witnesses to a two vehicle crash that occurred the morning of Tuesday, September 13, 2011 in Sterling, Virginia.   
  
Around 9:30 a.m. a 2004 Honda Odyssey was exiting the Potomac Run Plaza and attempting to go eastbound on Benedict Drive when the minivan was struck by a 2004 Honda Pilot that was traveling northbound on Bartholomew Fair Drive.  The impact caused the minivan to roll over onto its roof. There were no serious injuries as a result of the crash and both drivers declined medical treatment at the scene.   
  
Investigators with the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Crash Reconstruction Unit are seeking witnesses to the crash who have not already spoken to law enforcement.  If you witnessed this crash, please contact DFC D. Lake at 703-737-8307.

LCSO Seeks Public’s Assistance to Help Locate Gary L. Henry in Connection with Auto Theft

Loudoun County, VA:  The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance to help locate a suspect wanted in connection with an auto theft in the South Riding area.     

Gary Lee Henry, 20, is known to reside in the Chantilly area of Loudoun County. Henry is wanted in connection with the August 22, 2011 theft of a vehicle from the area of Bridgehampton Square in South Riding. The vehicle was later recovered by the Virginia State Police after a pursuit on I-66 in Fauquier County. The suspect fled on foot.   

Henry is approximately 5’8” tall and weighs 145 pounds and has sandy/dirty blonde colored hair. He also has tattoos on both of his wrists.

LCSO Seeks Public’s Assistance to Help Identify Suspect Possibly Involved in Burglary

Loudoun County, Virginia- The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance to help identify a suspect who was caught on surveillance video attempting to cash a check that was stolen in a July 15, 2011 burglary in Ashburn, Virginia.   

In July, Loudoun County Sheriff’s Investigators learned of a burglary that took place at a residence on Hiddengrove Court. During the burglary electronics and blank checks were taken.    

An unknown Black male later attempted to cash one of the stolen checks in the amount of $600 at the Suntrust Bank on Kenmore Avenue in Alexandria, Virginia. Investigators today released surveillance video stills of the possible suspect in hopes that someone from the community may be able to identify him.   

Sterling Arson Suspect Arrested

On Sunday, July 31, 2011 at approximately 7:04 pm, the Loudoun County Emergency Communications Center began receiving multiple 911 calls reporting heavy smoke from an occupied commercial strip shopping center located at 46000 Old Ox Road.  The fire was brought under control within an hour but resulted in an estimated $500,000 in fire loss to the shopping center, $350,000 of those damages were to the Super Latin Grocery and Deli.
