Man 'Passes' More Than 3 lbs. Of Heroin | News

STERLING, Va. (WUSA) -- A man was trying to smuggle more than three pounds of heroin, in his body, when officials busted him at Dulles International Airport.

Rasheed Adewale Martins, 54, of Nigeria, was hiding tiny capsules of heroin in his intestines, according to customs officials.

International Airport arrested Nigerian Rasheed Adewale Martins, 54,
June 11, 2011 after the man passed 97 thumb-sized pellets of heroin that
he concealed inside his body. The heroin weighed a little more than
three pounds and has an approximate street value of about $100,000," customs officials said.

The drugs were turned over to the Department of Homeland Security.

Martins was arrested and awaits deportation.
