DEVIL’S BACKBONE BREWERY BEER DINNER at MONZA

Monza is hosting a Devils Backbone Brewery Beer Dinner on Thurs., Sept. 24 at 6:30 p.m. for $70 inclusive, per person. The four-course dinner will feature Devils Backbone beers that complement new fall menu items. For reservations, go to eatmonza.com.

Monza is presenting a four-course dinner that includes: Greeter Beer, Vienna Lager with a meat and cheese platter; Pilot Brau Czech Pilsener with calamari fritti, lightly battered squid with spicy marinara; Cranberry Gose, roasted butternut squash, curried pears, candied walnuts, Crème Fraiche, sage; Aged 16 Point Imperial IPA with all natural braised beef ragu and butternut squash gnocchi, arugula, Parmesan, olive oil; and Cocoa Danzig Porter with Cocoa Danzig Porter Ice Cream with chocolate-covered bacon, homemade ice cream, bacon, and chocolate.

The wine dinner includes four courses: 2013 J. Lohr Carol’s Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc with insalata frutti di mare, chilled shrimp, scallops, calamari, lime juice, garlic, onions, bell peppers; 2013 J. Lohr Estates Falcon’s Perch Pinot Noir, quinoa black bean salad, quinoa, black beans, peppers, red onions, cilantro; 2011 J. Lohr Hilltop Cabernet Sauvignon Costeleta De Porco with marinated pork chops, sautéed onions, peppers, house fried potatoes, zucchini, yellow squash; and 2013 J. Man throws beer can at deputies during Va. noise complaint


STERLING, Va. (WUSA9) -- Two people were arrested during a Sterling noise complaint after a man threw a beer can, which sparked others to become aggressive.

Deputies responded to the noise complaint at home located in the 46700 block of Middlefield Drive around 10:456 p.m. Saturday, Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies spoke to one of the adults hosting the party when they got to the scene. A man was spotted peeing in the middle of the parking lot while deputies were trying to shutdown the party. The man then threw a beer can at deputies when they tried to approach him.

The suspect, Diego Delao, 19, of Leesburg became combative when deputies tried to take him into custody. A large group of people then also became aggressive.

Man knocks on Sterling apartment door, exposes himself


STERLING, Va. (WUSA9) -- A man who knocked on a Sterling apartment door on Friday night exposed himself to a woman, Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said.

The indecent exposure happened at an apartment located in the 1600 block of Bethour Ct. around 8:39 p.m., officials said.

The woman heard a knock, opened the door and saw a man who was exposing himself. The victim shut her door and then contacted authorities. The area was searched but the man could not be found.

The suspect is being described as a dark skinned man, possibly in his mid-twenties, with a thin build, according to officials.

Metropolitan School of the Arts (MSA) is bringing together an all-star instructor ensemble from around the U.S. to provide a Music Theatre Workshop tailored to provide real-world experience by teaching students the integration of drama, voice, movement and choreographed dance from July 13 to July 24 for ages 8 years-old to 18 years-old for $900 and a junior class from July 20 to 24 for ages 6 years to 7 years old for $500. Man riding bike assaults girl in Sterling


STERLING, Va. (WUSA9) -- A man riding a dark blue bike on a path in Sterling assaulted a girl when she was with some friends Monday night, Loudoun County Sheriff's office said.

The assault happened when the victim was with some friends in the area of the 46700 block of Sugarland Run Dr. at 9:40 p.m. The man grabbed the girl and made inappropriate remarks to her, according to officials.

The group walked away and the man continued to follow them and then grabbed the girl again. The group then ran away from the area, officials said.

The suspect is being described as an older Hispanic man with a heavy build. He was described to have a chubby face and black hair. The man was wearing a white shirt, long shorts, and black shoes at the time of the assault. He was riding a dark blue bicycle.

Deputies searched the area, however had no luck finding him.

Loudoun Co. teens accused of stealing drivers' ed car


STERLING, Va. (WUSA9) -- A group of Loudoun County teenagers are accused of stealing a student training car and taking it out for a joyride before crashing it into a tree.

According to Loudoun County police, the teens stole the vehicle overnight Thursday from Potomac Falls High School on Algonkian Parkway.

However, the students didn't travel far in the vehicle, crashing it into a tree down the street from the high school, police say.

Police discovered the car just after 6 a.m. with no occupants in the vehicle.

An investigation identified seven students, two of whom are juveniles, as being involved in the incident.

The case is still under investigation and charges are pending.
